Tips On Creating The Perfect Vow

Writing Vows. I can already hear the sound of dread as I write this. Vows can be tricky. Your heart has so much it wants to say, but you don't know how to get it out on paper. I am going to provide you on some easy steps to create an epic vow for the love of your life.

When writing vows you want to make sure it sounds like something you would say.

Instead of googling what some other heartthrob has written, we are going to lay out the body of a vow, so you can have the ideas of what to write, but instead of using someone else's words now you can speak from the heart.

Are you read? I promise you can do it.

  • Talk about when you first met.

Where were you? What did you think when you first met them? Start at the beginning of your love story.

  • Talk about your journey.

Did you do long distance? Has this been a long time coming, or a fast and passionate love story? How did you get to where you are standing right now?

  • Talk about why you fell in love with them.

You know why you fell in love with them, but does your partner? This is the PERFECT chance to really wear your heart on the sleeve and write down all the little things you love about them.

  • Make the promises YOU are going to keep.

So you've talked about your journey, you talked about why you love them, now it's time to make your vows. What you promise to continue to do from this point on. Be goofy, be sentimental, whatever you do, just BE YOURSELF. You're getting married after all, they obviously love you and want to hear what YOU have to say.

  • And finally, talk about what you're excited to accomplish with them.

Your wedding day is the start of a new chapter, so now fantasize of where you're going to go with them. Growing old, travelling the world, starting a business or possibly a family.

AND LASTLY re-iterate some of your promises as you end your vows. Think about your most important promise so when your vows are all send and done you seal those promises with a kiss.

No matter how long your vows are, or how short, the fact that the love of the life will get to hear you read your words, your thoughts, and really know what's going on in that head of yours on your wedding day, is a gift your partner will always cherish.

I promise you can do it!
